Is that ANOTHER moving van?!?

Being a child of divorce made shifting from one situation to another a norm for me. As far as houses go, I have lived in nine different ones all within the state of Maryland. When people find out how many houses I have lived in they just assume that I was an army brat. But no, my parents just seem to enjoy moving. Many of the houses never felt like home, they weren't permanent. Catonsville was where I started my life and where I am now. It will forever be my home, no matter where I go from here.

  1. I know exactly how you feel, my parents divorced when I was four and I have been in and out of houses all my life. I always lived primarily with my mom until I was 15, then I moved in with my dad and stepmom, and then moved in with my grandparents a year later. I also have never left Maryland, but it feels like I have been all over the place. I think its good that you have found some ground in Catonsville though. I finally got my own place in Catonsville that I can concretely call "my home" and its nice to have this.

  2. My parents didn't divorce until I was 17, but we somehow still ended up moving a lot too, never leaving Maryland. I had already moved twice before my dad lost his job and stopped working, which forced us to move again, and then another time when my parents finally split up. It's great that even after all the moving you've been able to find a home in Catonsville.

  3. I moved a lot when i was younger too and people also always thought I was an army brat too but my dad's job just took us up and down the east coast. Before I turned 12 I had lived in 6 different places and 4 different states (Maryland, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania). Finally in 6th grade we moved back to Maryland and it has become my true home.

  4. I can't imagine moving nine times; it would get so frustrating! My parents divorced when I was ten and I only ended up moving twice. My dad ended up in Ohio near his relatives but I'm glad I still live here.

  5. Ive never moved too much during my life in Maryland and I can't imagine even moving more than 3 times. It's nice that you have found your permanent "home" not only physically but mentally and emotionally. I lost touch with my original home in the Philippines and I wish more than anything to be able to return some day.
